Brake and Clutch Warehouse Wedding Venue – Ultimate Guide

Interested in planning a Brake and Clutch Warehouse wedding? Good news — you’ve come to the right place! The Dallas wedding planners here at Partridge & Pear have long been fans of Brake and Clutch’s industrial feel and modern vibe, and we have been lucky enough to plan multiple weddings here. Read on for some of our insider venue knowledge, as well as tips and tricks for planning the ultimate Brake and Clutch Warehouse wedding.

Ceremony and Reception Venues at Brake & Clutch Warehouse

Unlike other industrial venues, Brake and Clutch is not a giant open-concept space.  That means you can hold your ceremony and reception in two separate spaces. For most (if not all) weddings, this eliminates the headache of quickly flipping layouts during cocktail hour (so bring on the incredible floral installs and big reveals!).

As for headcount, we’ve managed to pack a little over 200 in the ceremony room (which, by the way, features an adorable outdoor patio that’s perfect for an outdoor bar) while still keeping the reception separate.  Brake and Clutch estimates a max guest capacity of 320 if you don’t mind a layout flip.

When it’s reception time, make your way over to the built-in concrete dance floor to bust a move with your guests.

To create another experience, we have also flipped the ceremony room into a lounge, so tired guests who don’t want to dance can relax and mingle on plush couches and chairs, away from the noise.

What’s special about this venue?

Two getting-ready suites are available on-site. The in-house catering team is excellent and incredibly experienced. Couples can separately host their ceremony and reception mere feet from one another, without worrying about transporting guests or flipping chairs.

The location is also great.  The venue is located right outside of downtown Dallas — close to lots of bars and restaurants — and offers valet parking.

Oh, and here’s another — depending on your headcount and your vision for sectioning off the room(s), there’s enough space to host your entire event within the warehouse, meaning inclement weather or time of year is no longer a question or a concern.

Ideas for transforming the space

Though beautiful in structure, Brake and Clutch is otherwise a blank canvas, meaning it’s up to couples and their planner to decorate and warm up the space. This gives you the opportunity to make the warehouse completely your own, maybe by dressing it up with mixed color palettes and hanging flower installations, or by designing an elaborate band stage and dance floor with custom lighting and floral accents.

Who is the right couple for a Brake and Clutch Warehouse wedding?

The perfect Brake & Clutch Warehouse wedding couple is eclectic in taste and loves unique experiences.  Partridge & Pear typically advises clients to be prepared to dedicate a generous amount of their budget to florals and decor, with a good design plan to soften the space.

Further, we like to flag that there is little to no natural light within the warehouse, which can make photography a bit more complicated. Of course, couples still walk away with gorgeous pictures (take a look at past Partridge & Pear clients Chenin and Ross and Elizabeth and Travis, for example), but the lack of sunlight does make certain shots a bit more difficult. To get around this, we often recommend taking outdoor photos at your hotel or at the nearby Texas Discovery Gardens.

Brake & Clutch Warehouse wedding cost

We recommend couples budget $600-650 per guest for a Brake & Clutch Warehouse wedding, focusing the budget on venue, catering, design, and florals.  This cost estimate is inclusive of all wedding costs, including the venue, food & beverage, our full wedding planning services, florals, attire, and all decor.

Let us create a unique experience for you

Want a one-of-a-kind Brake & Clutch Warehouse wedding?  We have plenty of ideas!  We’ve always wanted to create a design for the space that includes draping the walls and ceilings — perfect for a Dallas winter wedding.  And given the concrete floor, we’ve never added a custom, vinyl-wrapped dance floor either—It could really create a fresh focal point and unique look.
