Aldredge House Wedding Venue

I just adore this venue, especially for smaller and more intimate weddings and celebrations, it is the perfect venue for a Dallas garden wedding. Sara & Josh wanted their guests to feel like they had been invited over to their home for a backyard party (turned up a notch, of course!), and I knew that Aldredge House would be the perfect place. The Aldredge House has both indoor and outdoor spaces as well as a greenhouse, and it photographs beautifully!

The Wedding Day Details

We had so many vendors involved helping us to curate this gorgeous, outdoor Dallas garden wedding! Mix and match dark wood chairs were brought in from Chairs with Character to seat the guests for the ceremony and the look was finished off with trailing greenery and a floral arch from The Southern Table. We also brought in some upholstered seating for the front row from Bella Acento to seat the family of the bride and groom.

Cocktail hour, which was on the front, wrap-around porch of the home, included a soft peach linen from La Tavola for the cocktail tables as well as two lounge areas from Perch. Waiters passed appetizers and cocktails as guests enjoyed the mid-afternoon sunshine.

The Typewrite poet typed up poems on the spot for the guests throughout cocktail hour as well as the rest of the evening. Sara is a librarian, so this added touch fit in perfectly.

For dinner, guests were seated at long wooden tables in the back garden underneath a clear and beautifully draped tent from Ducky Bob’s. Each place setting was adorned with a silver charger, silver rimmed plate, glass stemware with silver accents, white eyelet napkins tied in hand torn silk ribbon, and topped with greenery and a custom made coaster made by Southern Fried Paper with the couple’s favorite toast by Robert A Heinlein “May You Live As Long As You Wish And Love As Long As You Live”.
